Chanel Blue serum review
Chanel has launched a new serum this year, which is inspired from the blue zones. In this post you will read my Chanel Blue serum review.
Chanel Blue serum review
Chanel research has selected longevity ingredients from the world’s blue zones for the Blue serum. What are blue zones? The blue zones are four regions of the world where people live better and longer. The four blue zones are Nicoya in Costa Rica, Sardinia in Italy, Ikaria in Greece and Okinawa in Japan.
From the four blue zones Chanel has selected three natural ingredients:
- Green coffee from Costa Rica
- Bosana olives from Sardinia
- Lentisk from Greece
First of all, the green coffee beans from Costa Rica has high antioxidant properties, which helps to shield your complexion. After an extraction process, the green coffee beans has 70 times more antioxidant active molecules than regular coffee beans. Secondly, the Bosana olives from Sardinia contains essential fatty acids, which protects the skin. At last, the lentisk from Greece has Oleanolic acid which restores and protects the skin.
So with all three ingredients from the blue zone, the Blue serum is a youth-activating serum. By using the Blue serum, it helps your skin look younger, firmer and healthier.
My skincare routine
First I will tell you a little bit of background information on my skincare routine. For the last few years I have been using a lot of Chanel skincare products. For example I have used the Hydra Micro serum, La Solution 10 de Chanel and the Le Lift cream. Right now I am still using the Le Jour, La Nuit and Le Weekend products, which are discontinued. In the last few months I have been using the Chanel Blue serum as well.
The Blue serum review
So far I do like the Blue serum. After cleansing my skin, I put the Blue serum on my skin first. The serum has a light texture, so it absorbs quickly on my skin. Furthermore the serum has a nice, subtle scent and it makes my skin feel smoother.
The packaging of the Blue serum is a clean white pump bottle, subsequently it comes with a black cap with the Chanel logo on top. You can use the Blue serum every morning and evening after cleaning your skin. To be honest, one pump is enough for each use. Altogether, the only downside of this product is the price, but in all honesty, most of the Chanel skincare is expensive.
